My journey into the world of hockey began in childhood, watching the Montreal Canadiens with my grandfather. My inspiration to start playing came shortly after I enrolled my fourth son in a hockey program, prompting me to rally a group of moms for a "learn to play hockey" class. My involvement quickly deepened, taking on roles from joining the board of my son's hockey league to assistant and head coach, and managing social media and events, including a collaboration with the Marlies for Port Credit Hockey's 60th anniversary. Later, as Director of Marketing for the Mississauga Hockey League, I spearheaded a marketing plan and produced a video campaign to attract sponsors after a key loss. I also organized a Blind Hockey event with local MPP Rudy Cuzetto, enhancing inclusivity in the sport, and led a multi-team entry into the NHL's Good Deeds Cup, emphasizing our community's commitment to positive societal contributions through hockey.
